But that may just have been your submission sendmail. More interesting is
what would happen if it arrived at a relaying MTA like that.

OK, since Bruce seems unwilling to put any of this to a practical test, I
have just submitted three messages to this list, by telnetting directly to
my usual smarthost.

One has no From at all
One has From: Charles Lindsey <>
One has From: Charles Lindsey <-@[]>

Please report here how they reached you, or if any of them fails to
arrive.

Note that none of them has a Message-ID, so it might also be interesting
to see whether any Message-IDs get added en route.
