On the other hand, using 3749 doesn't have compatibility problems with 
today's installed firewalls and other software, and if either peer 
doesn't support 3749, the connection gracefully degrades. Nothing 
breaks with "unknown c-t-e" errors.

Advantages and disadvantages.
