It seems really silly to penalize an MSA connection based on its EHLO
greeting.

Our top 20 helo arguments:
localhost
ipcamera
[127.0.0.1]
WebCAM
smtp.gmail.com
gmail.com
[192.168.1.2]
[192.168.1.3]
[192.168.1.4]
[192.168.1.5]
localhost.localdomain
[192.168.1.100]
[192.168.1.6]
[192.168.1.101]
[192.168.0.2]
UserPC
[192.168.0.3]
[192.168.1.102]
[192.168.1.7]
[192.168.0.4]

which is to say, lots of clients seem to be using the IP, on the order of
45% of the MSA traffic we see.

Given the rise in mobile clients, I have to assume the usage of MSA is much
higher now than it was in 2005, so I would hope that spamassassin would be
smarter now.
