COSE met on Tuesday 2025-11-04
The following drafts are nearly ready for WGLC:
- draft-ietf-cose-hpke -- needs a new revision and a second WGLC will be issued.
The following WG drafts were also discussed:
- draft-ietf-cose-{sphincs,falcon} - they were aligned with
draft-ietf-cose-dilithium prior to the meeting and the way ahead
depends on the NIST documents, but is generally clear.
- draft-ietf-cose-bls-key-representitions - it waits for other documents.
The following non-working group drafts were presented to the group:
- draft-lundberg-cose-two-party-signing-algs -- had a lively
discussion and people promised to review it and report back on the ML.
Based on feedback adoption call will probably be issued before next
meeting.
- draft-lemmons-cose-composite-claims -- had interest from the working
groups and people promised to review it and report back on the ML. If
sufficient feedback is provided an adoption call will soon follow.
- draft-lspm-cose-c509-test-vectors -- it was of interest for the WG.
- a draft idea presented by Carsten Bormann
The following WG drafts were not (meaningfully) discussed:
- draft-ietf-cose-cbor-encoded-cert - it waits for AD follow up
- draft-ietf-cose-hash-envelope, draft-ietf-cose-merkle-tree-proofs,
draft-ietf-cose-dilithium and
draft-ietf-cose-tsa-tst-header-parameterar are with the RFC editor and
there was nothing to discuss.
Best regards,
Ivo and Mike
