Personal opinions to follow are my own, aside from the chair role and my
jobs past and present. (Full disclosure: I was an employee of NIST ITL
Computer Security Division for several years). An unknown developer has
maintained a mirror for cybersecurity documents at csrc.nist.rip. NIST
staff were and probably still are aware of it, and the public domain nature
of standards (in their initial pages) means there is no cause for objection
from what I could tell.

The code base has not been updated, but it is much older than the updates
in the mirror site that appear to have stopped in 2022.

Someone could probably contact them via GitHub or make their own derivative
without coordination. That said, other recommendations in the thread like
Internet Archive are probably more effective. I did want to offer one piece
of trivia re the original question I have not seen anyone bring up yet.
