SCMP Informational Draft?

	
In it's current state SCMP cannot become a standard because it references
the S/MIME v2 draft which is informational. 

The proposed solutions are;

1) Wait for S/MIME v3 to become a standard and reference that

  Cons: Already have implementation based on S/MIME v2. To move to S/MIME
v3 is significant work.
  Pros: ?

2) Make SCMP an informational draft
  
  Cons: ?
  Pros: Draft would reflect real implementation.

3) Replace reference of S/MIME v2 with references of RFC 1847
 
  Cons: ?
  Pros: ?

4) Amend S/MIME v2 rfc to draft?

  Cons: ?
  Pros: ?

Anybody care to comment on the issues surrounding these resolutions?
