[BA] AFAIK=2C there has been no interoperability testing of SIMPLE in emerg=
ency services scenarios (e.g. NENA ICE)=2C and I am not aware of any emerge=
ncy service providers that support either MSRP or MESSAGE. The vast majori=
ty of SIP service providers also do not support SIMPLE=2C even for basic sc=
enarios such as sending/receiving SMS via MESSAGE. Given the potential ti=
melines for shutdown of POTS (e.g. projections indicate that POTS will not =
longer be economically viable by 2018) and the transition to next generatio=
n emergency services (by the time POTS is shut down=2C we better have NG PS=
APs)=2C there is still quite a bit of work to do.=20
