Hi Murray, Revision #3 of 3. thanks, Amanda === Name: Johannes Wilm Email: [email protected] Media type name: application Media subtype name: vnd.fiduswriter.template+zip Required parameters: N/A. Optional parameters: N/A. Encoding considerations: binary Security considerations: Identical to those of application/vnd.fiduswriter+zip. A document template is a ZIP container (https://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/zip) holding template definitions as JSON documents (RFC 8259) and template assets. Implementations must validate the "mimetype" and "filetype-version" entries, bound decompression sizes, reject malformed JSON, and treat template assets as untrusted data that is never executed. Interoperability considerations: Same container convention as application/vnd.fiduswriter+zip: a first, uncompressed "mimetype" entry puts the media type string at byte offset 38. Existing files carry the legacy string "application/fidustemplate+zip", which is a deprecated alias; readers should accept both strings. Published specification: The Fidus Writer file container format specification (FORMAT.md), at https://www.fiduswriter.org/spec/FORMAT.md, and the Fidus Writer document-template format documentation. Applications which use this media: - Fidus Writer, which exports and imports document templates (.fidustemplate files); available in the online service and, from version 5.0, in the desktop application. - The Fidus Writer document-template editor (@fiduswriter/document-template-editor). Fragment identifier considerations: N/A. Restrictions on usage: N/A. Provisional registration? (standards tree only): No Additional information: 1. Deprecated alias names for this type: application/fidustemplate+zip 2. Magic number(s): - "PK\003\004" (50 4B 03 04) at byte offset 0 (ZIP local file header), then - "application/fidustemplate+zip" or "application/vnd.fiduswriter.template+zip" at byte offset 38 (the content of the first, uncompressed "mimetype" archive entry). 3. File extension(s): fidustemplate 4. Macintosh file type code: N/A. 5. Object Identifiers: N/A. General Comments: The media type describe the file format itself and are independent of how the application is delivered: Fidus Writer 5.0 is distributed both as an online service and as a desktop application, and `.fidustemplate` files are interchangeable between them.
