I am just wondering why you are considering IGMP here since this
protocol is not mentioned as part of the spec of RFC3077 ?

For 1, the main issue would be to use an IPv6 delivery header for DTCP
instead of IPv4 as defined in the rfc. The current DTCP payload format
allows to advertise IPv6 FBIP.
For 2, my undertanding of rfc2784 is that we could use IPv6 as delivery
header for GRE, although at the date rfc2784 was published, only IPv4
was used. From appendix 9:
o IPv6 as Delivery and/or Payload Protocol
This specification describes the intersection of GRE currently
deployed by multiple vendors. IPv6 as delivery and/or payload
protocol is not included in the currently deployed versions of GRE.
Does this prevent us from using IPv6 ?
