   Purpose:  The use of the WMO URN is defined in the WMO Core Metadata Profile standard to uniquely identify metadata records that describe datasets exchanged internationally via the WMO Information System.
   Syntax:  Not applicable (please let me know if need to add something here)
   Assignment:  Completely open
   Security and Privacy:  As far as I know, there are no issues with security and privacy.
   Interoperability:  As far as I know, there are no issues with interoperability.
   Resolution:  At this time, there are no plans to manage a resolution service.
