Hi Ted, Thanks for your prompt review! On CESR version 2: You are right. It refers to the version 2 of the code table. The link you have is correct. If you go to Section 11.4.2, that is the code table version 2. We will make an edit to clarify this and also update the reference to remove the ambiguity between protocol version and code table version. On security considerations: Thanks for the suggestion. The example in rfc4122 is certainly relevant to urn:said. I’ll work with my co-editors to update that section. A quick search has turned up https://trustoverip.github.io/kswg-cesr-specification/ bit it is showing a version of 0.9 (though that might be the spec version rather than the protocol version). Because the NID you're proposing is for a self-assigned rather than managed namespace, I am surprised to see that there are no listed security considerations. You may want to look at https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc4122#section-6, which relates to a different self-assigned NID for some example concerns beyond the usual issues around potential collisions. regards, Ted Hardie On Wed, Oct 29, 2025 at 9:43 PM Wenjing Chu <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: Hi All in the URN namespace review expert panel, I’m submitting an application for URN namespace “urn:said” on behalf of the Trust over IP community (https://trustoverip.org/) which is a part of the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust (https://www.lfdecentralizedtrust.org/).
