I've recently seen an ad by FACT that was pretty aggressive. I assume it
was the same one. The ad is clearly trying to re-enforce the "copying ==
theft == evil" paradigm.

It made me laugh when the branding iron with the copyright c appeared.
My first expectation was to get a copyleft brand appearing. I'm spending
far to much time reading about free software and creative commons. ;)
