  I don't think you understood him at all.
  I much rather take 10 albums I own with me in one CD (encoded with
Ogg/Vorbis, for instance) than take 10 original CD's that can be
scratched, stolen, or otherwise take 10 times the space of one single
CD.

   The only practical effect of corrupting the CD format into f%@ked
things I can't play in any of my devices, is that I don't buy.

    So let me point this straight out:

  No "piracy" was stopped by this method.
  You guys only sold "one" less audio disc.

So they have reached a perfect balance of loose-loose.
They didn't get money, I didn't get music.
