Speaking of which, if I do the copying while in Norway (where I believe
it's legal), am I alowed to bring it all back to the UK, if I ever move
back again ?  Or do I need to use a steganographic hard drive ...

well, rubbing a puppy's nose in the mess it's made is a traditional
technique for teaching it not to do that again, so I guess it might be
worth trying the same with legislators.  You never know, they might be
as smart as puppies,
