UK Copyright,, ripping CDs, iPOD owning MPs?

Ok, so its a breach of UK copyright law to copy your own CDs onto tape or a music player (iPOD, etc). Has anyone tried to point out to the likes of MPs who own iPODs that they're breaking the law? Any point in an email/postal campaign to MPs to highlight this?
