[ACPI-sppt] ACPI boot errors unless grub interactively used

Is this an ACPI problem?  Is it a BIOS problem?
Is it something else?  Is anyone else interested in
fixing this other than me?  Is anyone else interested
in this at all?

If I do an uninterrupted boot I get ACPI boot log
errors starting like so:

These error messages and traps occur repeatedly.
I can eliminate this problem by either using a boot param
such as "acpi=off" or by simply typing "e" on my grub
splash screen, waiting about 30 seconds or more, then
typing a "b" to continue the boot.
