After upgrading from A06 to A22 (and now A23) I get fully working:
battery status, ACPI events, AC adapter status, CPU throttling and
thermal information.
 
All this using either 2.6.0-test8 or a 2.4.22 stock kernels under Redhat
9 or Debian (Sarge). I've found no need to use a patched DSDT with this
BIOS. Thus I am almost patch-free in running this laptop (although the
new BIOS requires a patch for XFree86 to work with the integrated Intel
video in the I1100).
