I just compiled and installed stock 2.4.22 kernel with 20031002 acpi patch applied. Everything goes fine through the boot process (the modules get loaded, proc files are there, etc.) ACPI on my laptop reports S0 S3 S4 and S5 as supported states. However, when I echo 3 > /proc/sleep/acpi, absolutely nothing happens. There are no messages in the log, and no other activity seems to take place. In fact, the only thing that has any effect is echo 5 > /proc/sleep/acpi, which shuts down the laptop (as expected). Any clues on this? I enabled ACPI_SLEEP in my config. Is there something else I need to tweak? The only thing that started working over 2.4.20-4GB Suse8.2 kernel are the little "Fn" buttons that control screen brightness, sound, etc. Thank you, Ilya ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
