Same here, Oliver.  I asked about this on this list a few weeks ago, but got 
no response.

I think I see the same behavior.  'echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep' cases the system 
to suspend.  It prints some messages about sending devices to sleep, and then 
the hardware goes into sleep mode, which I deduce from the slowly blinking 
power LED.  Pressing every button but the power button does nothing to wake 
the laptop up.  Pressing the power button appears to cause a power cycle, or 
a reset.  This happens even if I kill the ACPI daemon before suspending the 
machine, or if I change the behavior of the ACPI defaults to:

	event=button power.*
	action=
	event=.*
	action=/etc/acpi/default.sh %e

I don't think Linux is ever being woken up.  I suspect (in my case) that the 
power button goes directly to a reboot, without querying the OS.
