Hi,

I tried to use the ACPI S3 state with in the kernel 2.5.69

echo "3" > /proc/acpi/sleep. (suspend on ram )

Then, the system is going to S3 mode (System saved/ Red led blinking)
That seems to work perfectly.

When i press the on/off button, my vaio wakes up , but the display is
problematic: ( display is restored for a fraction of seconds, and then
the LCD gets black & blacklight is turned off )

i'm sure it's only a LCD/display problem as i tried a locate -u, and i
could see HDD activity (in blind mode)
I can reboot the laptop with reboot command too.

I'm not ACPI gurus and i 'd like to troubleshoot my problem.

Could you tell me what part of code is buggy (Kernel or ACPI)

Please send me informations..

thanks a lot

Olivier Fauchon
