Hey, First I would like to thank for the help everyone gave me in this list. I have a Compaq 1700T notebook, which is a Pentium III 1GHz with ACPI support. To get ACPI working, I had to dump the DSDT table from BIOS and change it. I'm sending the fixed DSDT table as attachment, It may help people that got a Compaq 1700 or compatible. The change was in \_OSI that required at least one parameter, and had none. Otherwise, it would fail. I installed it under kernel 2.4.21 with the lastest ACPI patch (RC3) and the lastest over-20030109 patch (to use custom DSDT table). The only thing that's kinda buggy now are the ACPI compatible software. KDE battery status on tray ACPI wont get my battery status. Gkrellm shows at 46% when my batt is full, but well, better than nothing. And the OSPMD software is kinda lame, isent it ? It compiled with a big font and the status is all buggy. Is there any good software, or kernel patch, to show ACPI info in a way the programs could read it correctly ? The kde tray thing would be a nice thing to get working... Btw, my Radeon Mobility M6 tv out works just fine with Fn + tv out button. Well that's it Thanks Fernando Jr ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: INetU Attention Web Developers & Consultants: Become An INetU Hosting Partner.
