[ACPI-sppt] Presario 1508AP

Hi all 
   I have a Presario 1508AP laptop and am currently running kernel 2.4.21 with 
acpi compiled in. I guess I'll have to apply the acpi patches, but first I am trying to 
fix my DSDT ( which is broken ). 
I just did cat /proc/acpi/dsdt > dsdt.dat 
and acpidmp to generate dsdt.dsl and dsdt.asl 
I am not exactly sure which one I have to fix. 
Either way, I find that the DSDT header ( in the file ) seems to have the same 
table ID as that of a Compaq EVON800V. 
Does that mean that a fixed DSDT for the EVO N800V should also be able to 
work on my machine  ( Presario 1508AP ). 
Would be grateful for any help with this.
