This makes me wonder, can ACPI be used for changing the IRQ of devices? I'm 
having the same kind of problem. IRQ 11 is shared by USB, my soundchip and my 
ethernet device: usb-ohci (twice), SiS SI7012 and eth0 (which is a sis900).

And this sucks big time for what I want: having real low latent audio, so that 
I can run JACK decently. It would be nice if I could have low latent audio 
from both my USB audio thingy and my internal laptop thingy, while at the 
same time be able to do networking... But because of the IRQ sharing this 
seems impossible.

I tried the setpci thing, but this didn't work out. Also, I didn't manage to 
find any documentation on how to use it, nor did I succeed in getting myself 
onto its list...
