[ACPI-sppt] A7N8X: 3c59x NIC failure after acpi patch

Hi,

I searched the net for that issue but only found out that there are one
having problems booting with acpi enabled.
For me it seems to function fine, till my 3COM NIC which seem specific
to A7N8X deluxe is accessed. Since it hangs when mounting my net volumes
I can not give very detailed messages. There is an error message
regarding RPC timed out but the module 3c59x seemd to be loaded without
any errors.

My Specs

Asus A7N8X Deluxe 1.04 BIOS 1004

Kernel 2.4.21 with ACPI patch from 2003-06-19

Is anybody informed about this issue. Do there exist a workaround. What
can I do to help getting this "issue" fixed?
