Download Intel's ASL compiler: http://www.intel.com/technology/iapc/acpi/downloads/iasl-linux-20030523.tar.gz Then compile Dell-Latitude_D600-A03-custom.asl: iasl -tc Dell-Latitude_D600-A03-custom.asl You will get Dell-Latitude_D600-A03-custom.hex. See http://acpi.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/HowToOverrideTable for the rest (you'll be at step 5 :) Ben On Wednesday 25 June 2003 4:43 am, Gil Disatnik wrote: > Hello there > > I am trying to enable acpi on my Latitude D600 machine, running > slackware-current with kernel 2.4.21. > acpi-20030619-2.4.21.diff.gz was applied successfully to the kernel > source tree but I have no idea where to put > Dell-Latitude_D600-A03-custom.asl and how to make sure the kernel is > using this table instead of the one that comes with the kernel. > > I have read the howtos, maybe I am an idiot but I couldn't figure out > how to do that... :) > > Any help will be much appreciated. > > Thanks! > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by: INetU > Attention Web Developers & Consultants: Become An INetU Hosting > Partner.
