Hi, I seem to have a different kind of problem with my fan control.

cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/trip_points
critical (S5):           100 C
passive:                 92 C: tc1=2 tc2=3 tsp=100 devices=0xc158ca80
active[0]:               73 C: devices=0xc15bb240
active[1]:               66 C: devices=0xc15bddc0

If I understand correctly, the fan should turn on at 66 C, but it
already turns on if the temperature reaches around 46 C 
and stops at 44 C.

Right now I am running 2.4.21-ac1  on an Acer 800Lci.

And on a side note.
According to /proc/acpi/info my notebook supports S0 S3 S4 S5. Is it
possbile to enable S1 somehow?
