Perhaps, but it is hard to achieve it correctly.  You need to get
the datasheet of the chipset, so that you can enter a correct
_S1 package.  That the easy part.
Then you may have to add some stuff to some methods of the ASL.  That
the hard part, and may require that you know almost all the composant
of the laptop, or even for some of SMI handlers, requiring you get
the BIOS specification of the laptop.
