[ACPI-sppt] Missing /proc/acpi

Hello!

On my IBM R40 Notebook, I have no "/proc/acpi", instead I have
"/proc/ac_adapter", "/proc/battery", "/proc/button" etc, but none of
them contains anything. The tested kernels are 2.5.73-75. What could be
wrong there?

(It may be, that the BIOS is buggy, as newer BIOS revisions cause the
kernel to panic during ACPI-initialisation).
