imo, that's bad advice.  It should be possible to do so, but:

Now, I just don't understand why you'd have a C11B AC adapter AND a C11B
battery.  I'd say, leave the names as they were.  It's true, some app may not
understand C11B as _either_ a batter or an AC adapter, but that's not ACPI's
fault, that's the app's problem.  In any case, other systems frequently name
their batteries BAT0 and BAT1 rather than BAT1 and BAT2.

In any case, there's no sign in the dmesg output that your DSDT provides for any
battery methods.  Since this is unlikely, I'd guess that your 'fixes' have made
them invisible - possibly because you renamed them.
