Hi folks, Here's the poop: Computer: Sharp AV18, Athlon xp-m 1800+, probably some VIA chipset (KN266?) Kernel: vanilla 2.4.21 from kernel.org, patched with acpi-20030619-2.4.21.diff Kernel config: make xconfig; turn off apm; turn on: acpi support, AC adapter, Battery, Button, Fan, Processor, Thermal zone, ...and debug statements. And here's what happens: On reboot, the machine hangs, and the CPU fan stops. Without acpi debugging turned on, the last thing that happens is: PCI: PCI BIOS revision 2.10 entry at 0xfd93e, last bus=1 PCI: Using configuration type 1 When I turn on acpi debugging, I see that the last thing that happens is: Executing all Device _STA and_INI methods: followed by a row of dots. Any idea what's going on here?
