Hi, I followed all the steps described on http://www.sk-schwanstetten.de/linux/x10-de.htm and managed to install a acpi patched kernel that reads the DSDT.aml that was provided by Michael Arlt on that page. It is a compilation of the X10 fix on acpi.sourceforge. However the result is not as described on that page. My DSDT does not load properly. I extended the memory of my laptop to 512 MB and as far as I can see this is the only difference between Michaels and my system. The log file contains error messages with: AE_NO_MEMORY I attach my dmesg. One funny thing: I tried for days to boot a kernel with ACPI debugging enabled, but the system hung after finding the network card. After disableing the debugging I could boot. Is this due to the amount of debugging information generated? Thanks for your support and greetings from Bremen Stefan -- Stefan Müller Universität Bremen/Fachbereich 10 Tel: (+49) (+421) 218-8601 Postfach 33 04 40 D-28334 Bremen http://www.dfki.de/~stefan/
