[ACPI-sppt] cpufreq interface on smp intel?

Hi!

I found that the 2.6 kernels have a cpufreq interface to set
the frequency of cpus. I have some dual-p4-servers here which
are getting quite hot, and I would really like to reduce the
frequency on those e.g. over night. However, afaik acpi is not
really working on smp machines, so should I try cpufreq on the
dual machine?

Is there anyone working to get power management on smp machines?

CU Lars.
