I have installed and run these kernels and they seem to work well on my system
(RH 9, Toshiba 5105-S701) except for one problem: the nvidia graphics driver
won't compile now. The error diplayed refers to a mismatch between the cc
which compiled the kernel (3.3) and the one I'm using (3.2). It says that I
can fix this by 'setting IGNORE_CC_MISMATCH', but I don't know where this is
set, or how it is done. I assume I could also just update gcc, but I'm not
sure about that either. Which would you suggest, and which is easier? Would
it be possible to undo your gcc 3.3 compile fixes so that it will compile
with 3.2 or would that be too much trouble? As you may be able to tell, I've
got a bit of a grasp for what I want to do, and a million questions about how
to do it, so I would be grateful for any assistance you could render.
