[ACPI-sppt] freeze on boot

Hi
It seams that no matter which kernel I try, I can't get ACPI enabled on my
Presario 2100/2140US to be exact.  It always seams to hang while calling the
_INI methods.  I get this error message.
I have tried the latest 2.6 kernel
I have also tried your latest patch to the 2.4 kernel. 
I also tried the 2.4 kernel

The following is the last thing I see whenever I have an ACPI enabled kernel
with debug on.  Then the laptop hangs.
"Executing all Device _STA and_INI methods:"

Any help would be appreciated
