[ACPI-sppt] centrino - processor module

Hi,

I am using a 2.4.21 kernel with the corresponding ACPI + DSDT + CPUFreq
patches on a samsung x10 centrino notebook.

First the good stuff:
ac, battery, button, and fan modules work great! Thanx a lot.

The processor/thermal modules don't work for the performance settings. If I
 cat 4:0 > /proc/acpi/processor/CPU0/limit
I see the changes in limit, but cat .../performance shows that the cpu is
still on full speed (which is true, I veryfied).
Then I learned about the binary-only processor.o module from INTEL. This
mdules works fine. I can switch the cpu frequency up and down, so far so
good. Unfortunately I cannot load the thermal module anymore. Error:
 unresolved symbol acpi_processor_set_thermal_limit_Re8a3605f
But checking the proprietary module with nm, I see:
 00001710 T acpi_processor_set_thermal_limit

So my first question is, can I help somehow in fixing the acpi processor
module by supplying information about my system / testing ?
Since it is not working right now, I dare to ask about help with the INTEL
module. How can I load the thermal module with the proprietary processor
module? Can I do without thermal without frying my cpu?

Cheers
