[ACPI-sppt] Only recive button events

For some reason, only button events are sent on my system to
/proc/acpi/event. Is it supposed to be like that, or is it a problem
with the system?
I tried to enable acpi debugging in the kernel configuration, and it
seems that other events are generated somewhere in the kernel, but I
couldn't find from where.
Also enabling function trace seems to show that acpi_..._notify and
acpi_bus_generate_event never seems to get called, so either  I enabled
it wrong (probably) or I have no idea where the events are going
through.
Any ideas on how to solve the problem or where the following messages
are generated? (I am mainly interested in the ac events).

on pulling the power cable and reinserting I get:

On closing the lid on the laptop I get

and /proc/acpi/event generates:

button/lid LID 00000080 00000001
button/lid LID 00000080 00000002

I use an acpi patched kernel 2.6.0-test1 (same behaviour on an unpatch
2.5.75 and a patched 2.4.21) on a sony vaio laptop with amd mobile
athelon
