[ACPI-sppt] lid question & wake up

Derek,
thanks for reminder to read mans. Really.
echo 1 > /proc/acpi/sleep
cause my screen to be weird (like power is slowly down).
At this step I do see flashing (slowly) my power indicator.
For comparison, in normal condition it's steady.
Pressing afterwards power button cause laptop to power off
competely. Pressing again power button cause it to start
normal boot.

Now about swsusp.  It's doing what it suppose to do.
It make suspend to disk and when I open the lid it
recover from that image completely. At least this
solution works perfectly on my hardware and of course
I can use it. But I still wonder about echo option.

Regardless knowing hardware through knowledge of
Windows, in my case I never/ever run it on any machine
I touched so far. To answer your questions I really don't
know how Windows will do on this laptop. I'm not going
to install windows just to check this feature anyway :)
What I was looking for in a list excatly what people do
to wake up. I'll try sleep button and if you will point me
to some other keys I'll give them a shot.
