[ACPI-sppt] ibm thinkpad

Hey, i have an IBM thinkpad X31 and ACPI battery support doesn't seem to work. If i enable debug statements I get a kernel panic, and when i load the battery module, it works, but there is nothing in /proc/acpi/battery.
