[ACPI-sppt] S3 debugging / Vaio

Hi,

I'm running 2.6.0.testx from BK to CVS Server on my Sony Vaio Fx 801.
I tried S4 mode ( suspend to Disk) and it works fine .

_But_ when i tried S3 suspend to ram, i got my red front light flashing
( so it _seems_ OK)

When I tried to wake it up, i got a black screen, Backlight off, and
kernel seemed stuck (no lan/hdd response).

I'd love to debug it, but i need some answers:

- If my laptop shuts down and has its red light blinking (normal suspend
on ram signal) , can i consider the kernel did correctly its work, and
can i assume the problem is only the resume.

- How can a faulty DSDT affect S3 mode ( DSDT compiler fired me a _WAK
return warning). is that important ?

- What's the way to debug that ? i build a 8 Led ramp for LPT. So i can
track the resume process through some ugly out val,0x378. Would that
help me ?

At the moment, i'm lost 'cause i 'm not sure weather the problem comes
from the kernel or the DSDT.

Any help, collaboration welcome!

Olivier
