Hello- I'm trying to compile 2.4.21 with ACPI support. I downloaded the sources and patched them with the 2.4.21 ACPI patch dated June 19th. When I try and use my .config file, however, I am unable to select anything more than ACPI support. ACPI AC, Battery, and all the other things that are normally configurable as modules don't show in the acpi submenu. After the knerle is compiled, /proc/acpi doesn't exist and there are no acpi messages in dmesg. Sooo... since it works with the default .config and my putting in my options (my .config) causes no ACPI, I'm assuming there is *some* option somewhere in the .config file that is disabling ACPI... 'greying' it out (if I were using xconfig). Are there any options in the kernel that conflict with acpi and disable all its suboptions? I could probably use the process of elimination, but would hope somebody here might have the solution. :-) Rob ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: VM Ware With VMware you can run multiple operating systems on a single machine.
