[ACPI-sppt] ASUS centrino laptop DSDT reward !

Hi all,

I have an ASUS M2400N laptop with a broken DSDT. It doesn't control the
fan correctly which results in the fan turning on at full speed.
Furthermore, there are more problems since it seems that the thermal
trip points, cpu temperature as well as some processor states are wrong.

I find this VERY annoying but unfortunately I don't have the time to
work the DSDT.

Therefore, I was thinking that perhaps it is possible to start a
collection to partially fund someone with DSDT abilities to help owners
of ASUS centrino laptops to get a correct DSDT.

This is just an initial enquiry to see if anyone is interested.

If you are either:

1) interested in donating a small amount as a sign of appreceation to
the constructor(s).
2) Interested in helping with the new DSDT - that is doing the
programming.

P.S. I don't hope (or think) that this idea is against the open source
concept. A new DSDT will ofcourse be publicly available at sourceforge
for anyone to use, once it is done. If you choose to help out by
donating, see this this asjust another way of contributing to the open
source community than the programming hours.

PP.S. As stated above, this is just an initial enquiry. I have not
promissed anyone anything (DSDT or money) - just made a proposal :-)
