Recently I got myself an acer 1703SM laptop. Very nice and fast laptop (quite
heavy as well). Anyway since then I have been trying to get the battery
status working on linux.
I've been using a 2.4.21 kernel and tried both acpi-20030619 and
acpi-20030523-2.4.21-rc3. Everything seems to go as planned as I load the
battery module. But when I do a cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state I get:
	present: yes
ERROR: Unable to read battery status
among with some errors in the logs:

psargs-0352: *** Error: Looking up [Z009] in namespace, AE_NOT_FOUND
search_node c1590ea8 start_node c1590ea8 return_node 00000000
psparse-1121: *** Error: , AE_NOT_FOUND
dswexec-0422 [23] ds_exec_end_op : [Index]: Could not resolve
operands, AE_NOT_FOUND
psparse-1121: *** Error: Method execution failed [\_SB_.BAT1._BST] (Node
c15bf428), AE_NOT_FOUND
acpi_battery-0195 [15] acpi_battery_get_statu: Error evaluating _BST

I would really appreciate some help fixing this.

I'm also including a link for my dsdt file disassembled with iasl, acer.dsl.
In case someone is kind enough to fix it (if that is where the problem is).

Thanks,
Cirrus
