[ACPI-sppt] S1 not defined in DSDT

I have a new Dell Inspiron 300m, and I've installed Red Hat 9 and
kernel 2.4.22 with ACPI support enabled with a custom DSDT. It seems
to boot and run now, but....
The default DSDT produced by acpidump does not define the S1 sleep
state. Does this mean that the BIOS does not support S1 at all, or is
it possible to add something to my hacked DSDT to define it? If the
latter, where do I get the magic numbers to put in the definition?
E.g., the DSDT currently has:
Name(_S0_, Package(0x3) {
0x0,
0x0,
0x0,
})
Name(_S3_, Package(0x3) {
0x5,
0x5,
0x0,
})
Name(_S4_, Package(0x3) {
0x6,
0x6,
0x0,
})
Name(_S5_, Package(0x3) {
0x7,
0x7,
0x0,
})
Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I'm new to this ACPI
stuff and this is not clear to me from reading the ACPI specification
(yes, I did RTFM).
I have a web page describing my general Linux installation procedure on
this machine here, with a link to my original and hacked DSDT files.
