Those are only the messages with reference to ACPI. You are not having problems with ACPI but with pcmcia. Lets see what is said in /var/log/boot.log or in /var/log/messages about pcmcia what happens if you type 'service pcmcia start' CL On Sun, 2003-09-21 at 21:07, Mark Allbritten wrote: > Here are some entries from dmesg when I boot in the ACPI supported > kernel: > > ACPI: Subsystem revision 20021212 > PCI: PCI BIOS revision 2.10 entry at 0xfd89b, last bus=2 > PCI: Using configuration type 1 > ACPI-0263: *** Info: GPE Block0 defined as GPE0 to GPE63 > ACPI: Interpreter enabled > ACPI: Using PIC for interrupt routing > ACPI: System [ACPI] (supports S0 S3 S4 S5) > ACPI: PCI Root Bridge [PCI0] (00:00) > PCI: Probing PCI hardware (bus 00) > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Routing Table [\_SB_.PCI0._PRT] > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Routing Table [\_SB_.PCI0.AGPB._PRT] > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK0] (IRQs 7 10, disabled) > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK1] (IRQs 7 *10) > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK2] (IRQs 7 10, disabled) > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK3] (IRQs 7 10, disabled) > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK4] (IRQs 7 10, disabled) > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK5] (IRQs 7 *11) > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK6] (IRQs 7 10, disabled) > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK7] (IRQs *5) > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK8] (IRQs 7 *10) > ACPI: Embedded Controller [EC0] (gpe 24) > schedule_task(): keventd has not started > PCI: Probing PCI hardware > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK0] enabled at IRQ 10 > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK2] enabled at IRQ 10 > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK3] enabled at IRQ 10 > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK4] enabled at IRQ 10 > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNK6] enabled at IRQ 10 > PCI: No IRQ known for interrupt pin A of device 00:10.0<6>PCI: Using > ACPI for IRQ routing > PCI: if you experiencce problems, try using option 'pci=noacpi' or even > 'acpi=off' > > Linux Kernel Card Services 3.1.22 > options: [pci] [cardbus] [pm] > ds: no socket drivers loaded! > unloading Kernel Card Services > > Thanks, > Mark > > > -- Thank you, CL Gilbert "Then said I, Wisdom [is] better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom [is] despised, and his words are not heard."
