Platforms: Red Hat 7.2, 7.3, 8.0, 9 Background: I'm able to get automounter to work using direct maps, but not as we define and use them on Solaris. Example: Snippet from Linux /etc/auto.master: /remote /etc/auto.direct -rw,intr,timeo=4,retrans=2 Snippet from Linux /etc/auto.direct: swdepot itdmln15:/swdepot The mount point thus translates into: /remote/swdepot Snippet from Solaris /etc/auto_master: /- auto_direct -nobrowse Snippet from Solaris /etc/auto_direct: /swdepot itdmln15:/swdepot The mount point thus translates into: /swdepot Goal: To have the Linux mount point /swdepot the same as the Solaris mount point, and have automounter deal with this appropriately (as well as others, as needed). TIA. Will summarize. jc _______________________________________________ LinuxManagers mailing list - http://www.linuxmanagers.org submissions: LinuxManagers-35TzE1X9F6582KRnZfj+bdi2O/[email protected] subscribe/unsubscribe: http://www.linuxmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxmanagers
