After installing SuSE 8.2, I can't anymore login into pop3 or imap.
SuSE says in the release notes this:
- ----------------------------
The imap mail daemon does not allow plain-text passwords on unencrypted
sessions anymore. Plain-text passwords in encrypted SSL or TLS sessions are
still allowed. See /usr/share/doc/packages/imap/RELNOTES for further
information.
- ----------------------------
But those further information did not give me a clue.
Anyway, I try the following without success:
- - Create SSL certificate using openssl
- - Create an APOP password file

Did anybody have a clue on that matter?

A. Malin

P.S: yes, I enable ipop and imap in xinetd and I can telnet to them but, no
way to login;-(
