Hi, I have a machine setup as a pop3 server running ipop3d (within xinetd) on a RH8 box. Most users can access it fine and get their mail, but a group of users on ADSL (connection sharing from about 6 of them) are having problems downloading large messages. The problem seems to occur repeatedly on certain messages, but I can find no errors with the mail file and it can be read fine by webmin. They seem to lose the connection to the server and because they already have an ipop3d process running when they try and reconnect again they are not allowed. I've been going in and killing the process for them manually. First question is, what could be causing these problems? Is there a timeout somewhere that is disconnecting the user before they've managed to download all their messages? I understand most pop3 servers clear out inactive connections every 15 minutes or so, so I wouldn't need to do it by hand. How would I go about setting this up? Thanks, Darren _______________________________________________ LinuxManagers mailing list - http://www.linuxmanagers.org submissions: LinuxManagers-35TzE1X9F6582KRnZfj+bdi2O/[email protected] subscribe/unsubscribe: http://www.linuxmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxmanagers
