Hello, fellow LinuxManagers,

I'm trying to share files from a SAMBA server 3.0 installed on Fedora
(stock Fedora SAMBA server) Core 1.

Here's the deal. SAMBA is running as a PDC (domain logons = yes) and
Windows 95 machines have no problem whatsoever logging in to the domain
and joining it, or for that matter reading and writing files to shares
on the server.

But one Windows XP machine absolutely refuses to even show the
workgroup/domain on network neighborhood, as long as the SAMBA server is
the master browser. When \\server UNC notation is used in the Explorer
or in the Run box of the Windows XP box, the XP machine says "This user
account is not authorized to log in from this station", instead of
providing me with the usual user/pw XP dialog box. When NET VIEW
\\server is issued from the cmd.exe command line, NET says Error 5:
access denied.

Naturally, I can't even join the domain. Joining the domain serves me
with the same "Not authorized ..." error message.

SAMBA logs show the XP machine establishing protocol negotiation,
apparently agreeing on NTLM v 0.12, then closing the connection by
itself.

The SAMBA server has the famous requiresignorseal setting off, and the
two other enableplaintextpassword and enablesecuritysignature are on.

Any suggestions?
