LVS-NAT + sendmail

I'm getting the same error message.  I'm running a Red Hat EL box and trying
to get the virtual server working.
My box receives mail without any problems, but every time I try to
authenticate over SMTP I just keep getting the password prompt in Outlook over
and over.  If I tail the maillog on my server I see

Jan 23 10:08:33 bayareanetworks sendmail[3892]: i0NI8XSl003892:
[192.168.15.56] did not issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to
Daemon0


Does anyone have any idea what this might be?
