Anyone have a solution for getting Red Hat SATA RAID driver for Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 3? I have an Intel Motherboard D845PEBT2 with onboard SATA Raid by Silicon Image SiI 3112. I installed Red Hat 9 on one drive connected to SATA. Then added second drive, changed SATA to SATA RAID, and created mirror to second drive. Red Hat 9 would boot from the single drive prior to going RAID. After going RAID the system continued to see the two drives as separate but identical drives. I also have an Adaptec SCSI RAID controller on the system using RAID 5, which works flawlessly. In trying to upgrade that system to Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 3, the same thing is happening during installation. The two drives on SATA are seen as separate drives instead of a single RAID Mirror. I had hoped and was told that support was in that OS for Intel MB with SATA RAID. Evidently not for the SiI 3112 SATA RAID chipset. Anyone know a way to make this work?
